specializes in servicing Bell, Airbus, and Leonardo helicopters, ensuring that every component
meets the highest industry standards with faster turnaround times, cost-effective solutions, and
top-tier service.
Aera is the evolution of a specialized aviation industry conglomerate, established in 2010 through the
merger of key dealership and service centers for the Caribbean region, including Eurocopter (Airbus
Helicopters), Robinson Helicopter Company, Cirrus Aircraft, and Beechcraft. With a strong presence in
Florida, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico, we partner with industry leaders to provide
seamless aircraft operation and service solutions for individuals, businesses, aircraft owners, and
government agencies.
Eduardo's experience with aviation management began in 2001, when he led the aviation department of Fersan, the largest fertilizer company in the Caribbean, which we turned into a profitable charter company called SATUR and the first aeromedical transport company in the Dominican Republic. Eduardo's experience in business management includes managing a successful construction company, which has developed the largest social housing project in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake and participates as a contractor in some of the most important social housing projects in the Dominican Republic as well as in several tourist hotel projects in the tourist area of Punta Cana.
Linked to the aviation industry since 1985, starting with the sale of aircrafts from 1988 he ventures into the sales of helicopters parts. From 1997 he represented Hawker Beechcraft achieving market leadership. On 2001 in alliance with Eurocopter began the introduction of the brand to the region and supporting it, achieving sales of more than 100 aircrafts not only in the Dominican Republic but also in Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Founder of the companies Importadora Fenix and Servifenix, both dedicated to aviation service with extensive experience in the maintenance and repowering of aircraft.
Experienced and significant business relationships in Puerto Rico. From 1988 to 1992 he became Vice President of HATO REY DISTRIBUTORS, 1992 to 1997 he was the Senior Account Executive of INGRAM ENTERTAINMENT. With his performance in this company, he increased sales by 600% in Florida and Puerto Rico. In 1994, he was recognized as one of the three most important account executives in the nation. In 1995, he won the Account Executive of the Year Award. From 1997 to 1998, he became Director of Sales and Marketing at BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO COMPANY. During this period, his performance was nationally recognized and earned the Marketing, President, and Store Awards. In 1998, he inherited the family business CASTRO CASH & CARRY, INC. he expanded the business with annual sales of $12 million. This company has been chosen for the last four consecutive years as one of the 400 most outstanding companies by CARIBBEAN BUSINESS. Recognized by the Puerto Rico Chamber of Food Marketing and Distribution with the Wholesale of the Year Award in 2002 and 2008. In addition, he received the same award in 2007 from the Puerto Rico Retail Association.
